Get up close to some captivating animals in this exciting day out for two adults and two children. Dudley Zoological Gardens is set on a 40 acre woodland estate and is home to more than 1300 animals. Originally opening in May 1937, the zoo is also set around an 11th century castle and limestone caverns. They have a large collection of animals with many being endangered species. Therefore much of the animal collection is linked to international conservation and breeding programmes. Some of the endangered species you may see include Bornean orangutans, Rothschild giraffes, Madagascan lemurs and Humboldt penguins. You won't need to go to Africa or the Amazon Rainforest to see and learn about these amazing animals, as now you can encounter them much closer to home.
