Nipponzan-Myohoji Movement
The Nippozan-Myohoji is a religious movement that emerged from a Nichiren Sect of Japanese Buddhism, it is actively engaged in the peace movement.
The temple itself is open for visitation and services, and can be contacted via phone for more information. The Nippozan-Myohoji order within the temple also organize and perform many events throughout the year.
On the path to the temple there is also a granite statue named Hiroshima Departed, it was sculted by Ronald Rae and completed in 1985 as a rememberance of those who died in Hiroshima - every year on the 6th of August the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist monks and nuns organise a floating latnern memorial service at the lakeside.
