Take a step back to the days of wartime Britain with this tank driving gift experience, where you’ll take the controls of this 15 tonne military vehicle for 2 thrilling laps around a former WWII bombing range. It’s a perfect introduction to the world of tank driving, as well as experiencing a spot of history.You’ll be in a tank with 2 others, taking it in turns to drive around the track. When it’s time for you to put your pedal to the metal, you’ll start driving with the hatch open, but not long after the hatch will be closed. You’ll only have the periscope to look through, giving you an insight into what life is really like on the battle field.Whilst you’re not driving, sit back in the turret seat of the tank and enjoy the thrill of being passenger on this exciting ride, as well as the surrounding views of the stunning Leicestershire countryside.You’re also welcome to explore the on-site museum for free, home to an array of fascinating military vehicles, from the likes of a 1947 Bell 47G helicopter to a 1940s M4 105 Sherman, along with tanks featured in famous films such as Saving Private Ryan.
